Rob Williams New Ongoing Writer of DAKEN

British writer Rob Williams, known for his work on Cla$$war and several 2000 AD stories including Low Life, is the new series writer of Daken: Dark Wolverine, Marvel Comics announced Thursday.

Williams is taking over from co-writers Daniel Way and Marjorie Liu. Way introduced the title character, the villainous son of Wolverine, in Wolverine Origins #10. Williams' list of Marvel credits has been growing as of late — he wrote the one-shots PunisherMAX: Get Castle and Shadowland: Ghost Rider last year, and is penning the miniseries Skaar: King of the Savage Land, starting in April. His first issue of Daken will be late April's Daken: Dark Wolverine #9.1, an issue originally solicited for May and part of Marvel's recent "Point One" wave of new reader friendly issues. Marvel's full press release follows: Press Release Marvel is proud to announce that this May, rising star writer Rob Williams takes the reins of Daken: Dark Wolverine with an all new, POINT ONE issue great for new readers wanting to get into the mind of Marvel’s newest crime boss.
